Great product! Great Seller! Great Service! everything great....Reviewed by Amit Bapat, 2010-03-07
i got the package super fast. the packaging was awesome and the
product worked well out of the box! no complains what so ever. A+++
for the seller and his service via amazon.
i was worried that buying old modems will be a problem: I have
Comcast service, and if this modem was previously given out by the
company, the serial no. is recorded. The logic of I trying to save
some money by having my own modem would not work as Comcast would
show that it is a company issued modem. A lot of people sell their
modems, but no one really tells you: 1. if they are selling a
rented modem. 2. Was this modem on a previous company 3. did they
buy the modem or got it from their ISP.
So, I had to keep my fingers crossed until the modem arrived and
check it while i was on the phone with Comcast customer
service.
It went through well, and I am extremely happy as I save a lot of
money!! $5/month for rental fee is ridiculous. This guy can work on
DOC SYS v2.0 also which is way faster for my needs and use. I am on
DOC SYS v1.0 and its more than what i need.
SO, if you are a home user, student or someone who is tired of
paying the ISP's stupid rental fee, then go for this option! it is
cheap and above all will give you piece of mind and relief on your
pockets. More money for beer now!
Older model works great.Reviewed by Bert, 2010-02-23
I purchased this modem to get out from the montly rental cost from my cable company. The modem is a moodel newer than my old one and a few model older than the current one, but works great. I am still waiting for my cable company to stop charging me rent, but that is another story!
Fantastic ItemReviewed by Raju V. Lalwani, 2010-02-20
Perfect item. Got it used from an amazoner but was in excellent condition, just like it was described in the description.
Good modem at cheap priceReviewed by DoreMan, 2010-02-14
If you use Comcast, this is an ideal modem. It works well and for the price it is really good. They say it is used, but it is as good at new for a fraction of the original price. I will definitely recommend this to everyone.
Comcast Modem - don't rent anymoreReviewed by A. Foltz, 2010-02-12
I had been renting this exact modem through Comcast, paying $5 a month for it. The performance is solid. I use my internet mostly for surfing the web, and downloading music and the occasional movie, and I also watch streaming television. I've had no problems with the modem, it supports all this just fine. So I bought my own modem (used thru Amazon), called Comcast to provide them with all the serial #'s, etc., went through the set-up with technical service, and 20 minutes later it was working great. I returned my rental, and this baby will pay itself off in about 5 months.
